Abstract: The possibility of modification of carbon nanotubes with titanium stearate from aqueous solution was shown. The obtained modified CNTs are well soluble in toluene. For grafting of titanium stearate groups the surface of carbon
nanotubes was pre-functionalized by oxidation. Modification of oxidized nanotubes with titanium stearate was performed from a solution containing dispersion of functionalized CNTs, triethanolamine stearate, and water-soluble complex of titanium with triethanolamine. This system is stable in solution at alkaline pH, and at low pH titanium stearate coagulates and joines to the CNT surface. - Melezhyk A.V., Romantsova I.V., Tkachev A.G. Multicomponent Catalysts for Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes by Chemical Vapor Decomposition Method // Scientific article. Journal "Transactions of the TSTU", vol. 19 , Tambov. TSTU publisher house , 2013. (pdf-file)
Abstract: Multicomponent catalysts for chemical vapor decomposition process of carbon nanotubes synthesis were developed. Efficient catalysts were synthesized on the basis of mixed metal oxide systems (Fe,Co)/MgO–Al2O3, (Fe,Mo)/MgO–Al2O3, (Co,Mo)/MgO–Al2O3, (Fe,Co,Mo)/MgO–Al2O3, (Fe,Co,Mo)/Al2O3. Effect of synergism of metals in multicomponent catalysts is discussed. - Melezhyk A.V., Shuklinov A.V., Bychkov O.N., Tkachev A.G. Study of Buckypaper Made of Carbon Nanotubes Taunit-4 // Scientific article. Journal "Transactions of the TSTU", vol. 19 , Tambov. TSTU publisher house , 2013. (pdf-file)
Abstract: Samples of buckypaper were obtained by the method of filtering suspension of carbon nanotubes Taunit-4 through a non-woven polypropylene material. Taunit-4 is few-walled carbon nanotubes with specific surface area of 600…700 m2/g.
Individual nanotubes are of 6…8 nm in diameter and are aggregated in bundles up to several tenths of a millimeter. Processing of the initial suspension of nanotubes, which improves the wetting of the surface (oxidation, addition of surfactant Triton X-100, n-butanol), and an increase in the duration of ultrasonic treatment results in splitting bundles of nanotubes into individual nanotubes. Apparent density of the buckypaper from Taunit-4 increases with oxidation of the nanotubes, addition of surfactant or wetting agent, increasing the duration of ultrasonic treatment. - Tyalina V.A., Mishchenko S.V., Tyalin Yu.I. Electric Effects Under Plastic Deformation at the Crack Top in Crystals with Charged Dislocations // Scientific article. Journal "Transactions of the TSTU", vol. 19 , Tambov. TSTU publisher house , 2013. (pdf-file)
Abstract: Static and dynamic of a sliding line formation at the crack top were carried out. The number, equilibrium positions and kinetics of dislocations in a plastic zone were determined. An electric field, dipole moment and dislocation current, connected with the movement of dislocations in the plastic zone, for crystals with charged dislocations were calculated.
