The unknown artist of the 19th century. The portrait
of Piotr Andreievich Boratynsky (1768-1845). It is in the collection of Tambov
Museum of Regional Ethnography.
Piotr Andreievich Boratynsky (the poet's uncle) - a regular officer,
went into retirement in the rank of the lieutenant-general. Since P.Boratynsky
had no his own family, he took care of his nephews, nieces and wards. At his
request Ye.Boratynsky was admitted to the Page Corps.
