The unknown artist of the middle of the 19th century.
The portrait of Irakly Abramovich Boratynsky (1803-1859). It is in the
collection of the Tambov Museum of Regional Ethnography.
Irakly Abramovich Boratynsky (the younger poet's brother) -
the lieutenant-general, one of the most eminent representatives of the
Boratynskys who could comprete with the poetic fame of Ye.Boratynsky. He
graduated from the Page Corps, took part in the wars with Persia (1826-1827)
and with Turkey (1828-1829). After the retirement he was the governor of the
towns of Yaroslavl and Kazan, sat in the senate. Irakly A.Boratynsky get
married to A.D.Abamelek, one of the most beautiful women of St.Petersburg.
