The unknown artist of the beginning of the 19th
century. The portrait of Bogdan A.Boratynsky (1770-1820). It is in the
collection of the Tambov Museum of Regional Ethnography.
Bogdan Andreievich Boratynsky (the poet's uncle) - took part in
many sea battles (retired in the rank of the vice-admiral). He commanded the
Russian squadron of the Baltic Navy, Arkhangelsk squadron on the White Sea,
was the commandant of Kronstadt.
Bogdan Andreievich had no his own family and took care of
of his nephew Ye.Boratynsky.
