The portrait of S.A.Boratynsky (the poet's brother) (1807-1866).

It is considered to be his self-portrait.

The portrait is kept in the country-house Muranovo.

Sergei Abramovich Boratynsky (the younger brother of the poet) completed

Moscow Medical Surgical Academy. Since 1833 the Tambov estate Mara was in the possession of Sergei A.Boratynsky. He was known as the excellent doctor, treated landowners and peasants free of charge; the magnificent expert on architecture and painting; the musician and the jeweller.
