The portrait of A.D.Abamelek-Boratynskaya (the wife of the poet's brother I.A.Boratynsky)

The princess Anna Davydovna Abamelek (1814-1889) was one of the beautiful

women of St.Petersburg, the maid of honour of the imperor court. She was known as a translator of poems from Russian into French. Such prominent poets as Pushkin, Vyazemsky, Kozlov devoted their poems to A.D.Abamelek-Boratynskaya.
