(Past Perfect)

Употребление:

Для выражения действия, которое уже совершилось к определенному моменту в прошлом.

E.g. When Tom arrived at the party, Jane had already gone home.(Когда Том пришел на вечеринку, Джейн уже ушла)

E.g. By 5 o’clock the girls had returned home. ( К пяти часам девочки вернулись домой)
